Background of the Study:
Media bias plays a critical role in shaping political perceptions by influencing how news and political information are presented to the public. In Akinyele Local Government Area, Oyo State, media outlets have considerable sway in framing political narratives, which can affect public opinion and voter behavior. This study examines how media bias operates at the local level, focusing on the selection and portrayal of political events and figures. Contemporary research indicates that biased media coverage can reinforce existing political divisions, distort public understanding of policy issues, and influence electoral outcomes (Adetola, 2023). In Akinyele, the convergence of traditional media and digital platforms further complicates the information environment, creating a landscape where partisan reporting can thrive. Statement of the Problem:
